theratas, as a tool.
The device itself was born from repeated firsthand observations of post‑care discomfort, along with a lack of at‑home options created with care and intention.
Designed to offer comfort at home, this innovation addresses a meaningful gap in self‑soothing tools created with breast cancer experiences in mind.
how it started: a CEO’s vision
Our CEO’s vision began with a notebook full of sketches, the support of her friends and family, and continued vision of what the tool could be with the support of an engineer.
The first CAD designs + engineering begin to come to life for the first concept of the tool.
The first semi-operable prototype is born!

the final vision:
We are incredibly proud of how far this tool has come and genuinely excited to see where its final development lands. Did we mention, it’s also in the final stages of it’s patent approval? Yes!
Our team is excited to share that we are working with a local engineering team in Raleigh, North Carolina — a collaboration we believe will take Theratas to the next level through thoughtful design, technical expertise, and experienced advisement.
While the final product may look different from our initial sketches and prototype, we remain focused on creating a one‑of‑a‑kind tool made with supportive, safe materials and intentional design for ease of use. Every detail is being carefully considered to support the success of the tool and the comfort of the individual using it.
“We are deeply committed to creating a final product that is a resounding supportive tool for individuals in the breast cancer community who experience this discomfort and frustration during recovery.
We look forward to the final delivery of this tool to the community that it was created for.”
