Discover relief in the palm of your hand

Post‑mastectomy side effects are often preventable, yet up to 60% of patients experience post‑mastectomy pain syndrome and other chronic complications following breast cancer treatment.

For many, life after treatment includes persistent challenges such as:

  • Cording

  • Chronic pain, tingling, and nerve discomfort

  • Loss of sensation and numbness

  • Shoulder tightness and limited mobility

  • Intense itching

  • Ongoing pain in and around the surgical scar

Despite being common, these side effects are frequently under‑addressed. Many patients endure years of frustration, cycling through physical therapy and rehabilitation with little sustained relief — often being told that ongoing discomfort is something they must simply live with.

The toll is not only physical. Persistent pain and unresolved symptoms can deeply affect mental health, independence, confidence, and quality of life long after active treatment ends.

Theratas was created to change that reality.

Recognizing the gap in accessible, effective post‑treatment relief, our team intentionally designed a supportive solution to help breast cancer patients and caregivers address pain, lymphedema, and treatment‑related discomfort early and consistently. The result is a simple, hand‑held solution designed for everyday life — offering relief at home and on the go, and helping restore a sense of control throughout recovery and beyond.

Big Gap. Real Issue. Huge Impact.

Despite the prevalence and long‑term impact of post‑mastectomy pain and sensory loss, there are currently no proven, accessible tools designed to support the restoration of sensation or consistently alleviate post‑treatment discomfort at home.

Most solutions available to breast cancer patients focus on in‑clinic interventions or generalized rehabilitation approaches, leaving a significant gap in ongoing, self‑directed care. As a result, patients are often sent home without effective tools to manage symptoms independently — even as discomfort persists for months or years.

The at‑home therapeutic market for post‑mastectomy and post‑lumpectomy relief remains largely untapped, despite clear patient demand for relief that is:

  • Accessible outside of clinical settings

  • Easy to use without specialized training

  • Designed specifically for breast cancer–related side effects

This absence of solutions leaves many patients navigating recovery without adequate support — reinforcing cycles of pain, frustration, and diminished quality of life.

Theratas was created to address this unmet need.

As of April 2026, Theratas is building strong momentum!

We have successfully advanced a portion of our tool through the patent process and are excitedly awaiting patent approval as we move toward the next phase of development.

We are currently in the fundraising stage, seeking our initial capital to partner with a local engineering team here in Raleigh, North Carolina, to develop our second prototype.

In parallel, we are actively gathering research and insights directly from breast cancer patients to inform product refinement and ensure our solution reflects real‑world needs.

Over the next 6–12 months, our focus is on completing the patent process, securing the funding needed to finalize engineering and prototyping, and incorporating patient‑driven feedback into product development.

With purpose and urgency, we are raising capital, strengthening our foundation, and hitting the ground running—working toward market readiness and bringing accessible, at‑home relief closer to those who need it most.

Where are we now?

Make an Impact Today

We are currently launching a fundraising campaign to support the engineering of our second prototype. This next phase will allow us to refine and advance our therapeutic massage device, bringing an accessible solution into the hands of consumers as efficiently as possible as we prepare for market entry.

100% of every donation made will go directly to funding the growth and sustainability of this device to support breast cancer patients right here in the United States.

Please note: All donations are non‑refundable and directly support the development of Theratas.
